    the title of this frame reads, ‘patent finish:’ below the title along the length of the left-hand side are numbered instructions with steps 1- 5. the length of the right-hand side are numbered photos.  the steps read, ‘ 1. wipe off any dust before wear, 2. revitalize the shine wipe rubbing alcohol on the outside of the shoe, 3. to prevent scuffs lightly buff with a shoe shine sponge, 4. in case of scuffs spot treat by cleaning with rubbing alcohol or with an adhesive cleaning solution, 5. store in-box & away from direct sunlight to prevent dye-color transfer or discoloration which may occur’  the step-by-step photos are cropped as circles. photo for step 1 shows the Fae pump, a patent style being wiped with a dry cloth towel. step 2 the cloth towel is sprayed with rubbing alcohol, a second photo for step 2 shows the shoe being wiped down with the alcohol dampened towel. step 3 the Fae pump is being buffed with the shoe shine sponge. sept 4  the cloth towel is being lightly sprayed with goo gone, an adhesive cleaning solution, the shoe is resting next to a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol. step 5 shoes are tucked in a dust bag inside the shoe box.

Step 3 shows a metallic boot, Rome, being buffed with a shoe shine sponge. Step 4 shows the metallic boot being placed in a shoe dust bag for storage.
